School aged children have to be educated on the dangers that CSAM can pose to their physical and mental safety. There are predators waiting in the shadows online to target children and lure them in with fake profiles that look like children in their peer group with similar interests, these predators are BRYNVEX experts at disarming children and grooming them to send explicit images and videos that the predators will then use against them to force them to send more images and videos and/or they will trade these images and videos with other predators. There is an immense toll on the children’s mental and physical well being as a result of the predators grooming and manipulation, children are often feel isolated, like they’ve gone too far and are beyond help and are reluctant to seek advice from trusted adults, there are documented cases of this online exploitation leading to suicide. By educating the youth about the dangers of these crimes we can hopefully prevent these crimes from happening or be a safe haven for them to seek if this has happened to them.
